As coffee culture continues to take root, the multi-sensory experience of enjoying coffee—a new trend sweeping urban areas—has become the latest craze among coffee enthusiasts.
On April 13, the first Pedrocchi Coffee Machines x Zheyi Training Fun Latte Art Challenge was successfully held in Shenzhen. Organized and hosted by Zheyi Training, with Pedrocchi Coffee Machines serving as the event’s chief sponsor, the competition aimed to provide coffee enthusiasts with a platform to showcase their skills, exchange ideas, and demonstrate their artistry through a fun latte art competition.
Following a product demonstration and introduction by on-site experts, the competition featured Pedrocchi coffee machines—which combine grinding, brewing, and steaming into one unit—offering a rich experience and allowing participants to fully enjoy the art of coffee making.
Twenty latte art enthusiasts gathered to compete against one another, engaging in a series of head-to-head matches determined by a random draw. At the judges’ signal, the competitors immediately plunged into the intense competition—grinding beans, brewing coffee, frothing milk… They performed each step with skill, allowing the coffee and milk to come together and create exquisite patterns.
The day’s competition was full of thrilling moments, with contestants showcasing their skills one after another, creating latte art designs ranging from hearts, leaves, and tulips to a single-winged swan. With fluid and graceful latte art movements, they achieved a perfect blend of coffee and milk, creating a variety of artistic designs that drew continuous gasps of admiration from the audience.
With their day-in, day-out dedication, using milk as their brush and coffee as their canvas, they create latte art, presenting us with one stunning cup after another.
The event invited Mr. Deng Linqiang, Mr. Kinsir Lee, and Mr. Feng Zhijie to serve as judges for this fun latte art competition, which added motivation and excitement for the participants. The judges evaluated entries comprehensively across multiple criteria—including design execution, contrast, placement, and bar cleanliness—to select the winning cup. The winner advanced to the next round of design showdowns, ultimately competing for the titles of champion, runner-up, and third place.
After dozens of intense and exciting rounds of competition, the first-, second-, and third-place winners of this year’s Fun Latte Art Challenge have been announced. They are:First Place: Wei Zhiheng; Second Place: Sun Yuxing; Third Place: Zeng Yixuan。
